Health information

Please don’t send diagnoses, medical history or other health details through website forms or email. Health information belongs in our secure patient system. Consult booking, the founding cohort application and the patient portal run on Healthie, a HIPAA-compliant platform, and information you enter there is protected health information covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices.

How we share information

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website, send email and schedule appointments, and who may use it only for that work; when the law requires it; or to protect the rights and safety of our patients, the public or our practice. Some links on this site go to partners such as our Fullscript supplement dispensary; see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Email and text messages

If you give us your email or phone number, you agree to receive messages about your inquiry and care, including appointment and program reminders. Message and data rates may apply. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message and stop non-essential texts by replying STOP. We may still send messages that your care or the law requires.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, may give you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Some exceptions apply, including for health information covered by HIPAA. We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms. To use a right, contact us below. We won’t treat you differently for doing so.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep information as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law and professional record-keeping rules.

This website is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
